I live on West Nelson and most of my block is "No Parking." I understand the need for this during the school year or at the start/end of a school day but to have it on the weekends or after school is a hindrance to us as residents of West Nelson. Might I suggest a "No Parking" time period like other cities? Can it be changed to a no parking time period of Mon-Fri from 7-9:00 am and 2-4:00 pm or 3-5:00 pm?

Adding no littering signage on the streets leading into the harbor and spread some around the harbor. Spread this signage around town. Visitors are throwing their trash out the windows of their vehicles and also pulling over to the side of the road and dumping trash. There needs to be a deterrent to this bad behavior. Adding trash receptacles around the harbor would also help to keep the area cleaner. Accidents happen and the wind can be strong, but there are those who don't think twice about trashing the area.

Reconstruct the old Causeway. Place a swing bridge over the intercoastal waterway. The Island would be a great place for vistors cottages or RVs. There is a large pot hole behind Ransome Island that might be developed as a marina. It might be possible to connect Ransom Island to Dagger Island. This could be a good project for the San Pat Navigation District.

I think the pool should have already be open for the morning Exercise. The ability to have access for those with disabilities water offers so many benefits. I have been going to Rockport for at least a month. Which is fine, but why not here?? The pool is good Pumps are running who pays that bill??
I would like this to be considered . The community would utilize it. The extra monies could be used to make upgrades and maybe scholarships for Student life guards. I'm sure we could make this a positive thing for Aransas Pass. It's time to step it up with All the new jobs coming we need more to Offer. Thanks

Rockport has a garden and are assisted by the A&M agricultural people. It works very well. I suggested it to the City Manager, but so far he has ignored me. I had also suggested turning the RR tracks into a bike trail and all I got was what I already knew. I bet he never asked the RR about donating it to the city, like I've seen other cities have done. Of course, you know that this city does NOTHING without a grant or some free money from the government. The garden may even be a start for a market in Conn Brown???!!!

Please consider including bike lanes and sidewalks all around the city. Safety for children and enhanced community value. We live close to aquatic center but cannot bike due to dangerous roads.

Thousands of tourists drive through AP bee lining past us because all they see is the most run down view of our city. (Pre-Harvey, but yes, worse now). During the week many of these folks are owners and representatives of companies and corporations that may be interested in investing in our community if they took home a favorable impression. Wheeler is our “Broadway” and what people see represents ALL of AP. I believe money invested by the community to cleanup (as easy as cutting down dead trees or inviting artists to paint murals on boarded up businesses) to helping businesses afford to tear down dilapidated structures would be a facelift to what to some has the appearance of a ghost town. Who wants to invest in ghost towns? A few dollars more from every tourist passing by now can support more families in AP. More thriving businesses helps support the hospital, emergency services, and everyone here. Develop AP as a destination not a thoroughfare. Wheeler first - then Conn Brown!

Keep the bar ditches clean and clear on roads like mine (W. Beasley). I have had standing water since Sept. (7 weeks) and no activity trying to move the water down to the drain at Saunders. Just a trickle there. If we want people to move in and build new homes like I did, we need to at least keep the rain drainage going. City does not supply us water or sewer service, the least they could do is keep us from sitting in stinky dirty mosquito water for months when all they need to do is clear the ditches. Most of the homeowners out here mow the right-of-way but some large unimproved lots stay full of weeds and sand-in. This keeps the water stuck in our yards! HELP !!

Why not arrange with APISD to move the bus barns to the park by the aquatic center and make the old high school property into a park with biking, walking and a little skate park. It’s more central, much safer and way less scary than the current park. That park is so isolated most of the time and It doesn’t really feel very safe to be there.

This Harbor town has potential. I dont want to put everything into a business here yet. It is very run down here and I mean before the Hurricane. Why doesnt the city enforce folk to mow there lawns before the grass is 10 feet tall, why are businesses here in buildings that look like they are going to collapse. Unbelievable!! Its night and day from here to the other adjoining towns. I dont know what its going to take, as much as I want to have a business here, i have to ask, who is running this city and why have they let it fall apart. Yes there a few businesses that are well kept and clean, but gee wiz, its unappealing and sadly, it starts with city hall to enforce, enact and implement SOMETHING here to make this a fabulous little town!! The hospital looks like a nursing home...buildings have mold and LACK life... Wow!! With the help of the community, investors and whom ever, this little town needs city leaders with a PASSIONATE VISION!!!!!
