Mission Statement

The mission of the Coastal Resilience Plan for Aransas Pass is to develop strategies for addressing the weaknesses identified in the Coastal Resilience Index over a 5 year period. The development of this plan will rely on input from key experienced city staff, local stakeholders, and the community at large. The development of this plan has been funded by a grant awarded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Gulf of Mexico Alliance.

Project Goals

This project should complete two ultimate goals:

  • Develop a long-term plan to address coastal resiliency in Aransas Pass, and
  • Conduct a community-wide outreach campaign to make the community aware of coastal resiliency and get resident input on critical needs.
